Alligator makes appearance after flooding in New Orleans



NEW ORLEANS, La. (BRPROUD) – The animals are out in the Crescent City.

New Orleans is dealing with flooding after overnight rain left some streets full of water.

When flooding occurs, wild animals can follow and that is what happened on Monday.

According to WDSU, this reptile showed up in New Orleans East on Downman Rd.

That was not the only animal running around the New Orleans area on Sunday.

The Slidell Police Department shared a post on Facebook prior to the storm hitting the area.

Yep, that is a peacock on the loose in a Slidell neighborhood.
