GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) – On August 29, Hurricane Ida hit Louisiana.

53 days later and Ascension Parish is just about done with storm debris collection.

If you still need to have storm debris picked up, register at Parish of Ascension.

The parish says the “website is not intended to presume your debris will be picked up immediately. This site is only intended to be sure your debris will not be missed. Please be patient as our contractors are working around the clock.”

If you are unable to register online, call 225-450-1200.

The deadline to register is 5 p.m. on Monday, October 25.

According to the Parish of Ascension, “Trash Rangers will accept storm debris ONLY at the Ashland Road entrance to Lamar-Dixon Expo Center until 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 24.”

The dumpsters will be taken away early the next day.

The parish asks that you still separate the debris into different piles.

One for vegetative debris and the other for demolition or construction debris.
