BATON ROUGE, La(BRPROUD) Election Day 2020 has come and gone but the election is far from over. Hours after polls closed across the country, Tuesday, millions of ballots remain uncounted in key battleground states; meaning the race between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden remains too close to call.
Locally, one of the biggest races facing voters in East Baton Rouge Parish is the Mayor-President’s race. That race is headed to a December runoff after no candidate received 51 percent of the vote. Incumbent Democrat Sharon Weston Broome earned 48 percent of the vote compared to the 20 percent earned by Republican former State Representative Steve Carter.
John Couvillon with JMC Analytics & Polling discussed both local and national election results with Fox44’s Gerron Jordan.
