Anonymous tip leads to identification of suspect in cell phone store robbery

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Less than 24 hours ago, Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers asked for the public’s help with a recent robbery.

GBRCS provided a picture of a suspect in a robbery at a local cell phone store.

The robbery allegedly took place on Halloween at the Boost Mobile located on Florida Blvd.

According to the Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers, “Investigators believe that on October 31, 2021 around 2:40 p.m. the suspect entered the business posing as a customer.”

GBRCS says, “The suspect informed the employee that he was armed as he demanded money from the register.”

The employee handed over some money to the suspect who then left the store.

No one was hurt during this robbery.
