ST. AMANT, La. (BRPROUD) – Imagine going out for a fun night of trick-or-treating and having a camera alert pop up on your phone.

That is what apparently happened to one family in Ascension Parish on Halloween night.

Mark Attuso and his family had just finished trick-or-treating in Dutchtown when they saw something on their Blink cameras.

The videos attached to this story appear to show two individuals on their property in St. Amant.

The videos were taken somewhere on Highway 22 around 8:10 p.m. and the unidentified individuals were seen on video for almost 45 minutes.

They did not notice anything missing but a lock was removed from his shop and two gates in his backyard were unlatched,” according to Mark Attuso.

The gates being unlocked is unusual as the family has dogs.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office was called to their home and the individuals in the video had left prior to the arrival of the deputies.

APSO confirmed that they are investigating this suspicious incident.

Attuso said this was not the first suspicious incident in the neighborhood.

Money and a weapon were taken from a home close by earlier in the month, according to Attuso.

If you recognize these individuals or know where they are located, please call the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-621-8340.
