Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre announced the APSO Training Center is accepting unused personal protection equipment to help during the COVID-19 outbreak.
PPE that APSO will accept includes goggles, face shields, hospital masks, medical gloves and hand sanitizer.
Those items will be distributed at local hospitals and nursing homes that need supplies, according to APSO.
Items can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Training Center, located at 9094 S. St. Landry Road in Gonzales.
