BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was called to a reported stabbing on Tuesday night.
The stabbing took place around 6 p.m. at the Shell gas station located at 12541 Airline Hwy.
Deputies determined that a 27-year-old man was stabbed and subsequently taken to the hospital. EBRSO said that the man was in stable condition.
One person was arrested in connection with this stabbing, identified as Brandon Sam, 19.
According to an affidavit, Sam, who is a store clerk, refused to sell cigarettes to the victim after receiving “inadequate identification.” A fight took place before Sam allegedly brandished a five-inch knife and stabbed the victim.
Sam is charged with Aggravated Battery.
