Arrest made in fatal Howell Park shooting

Baton Rouge Police arrested a man Friday in the shooting death of 25-year-old Ivory Profit, which happened at Baton Rouge’s Howell Park on Dec. 8.

D’Orsay Johnson, 18, of 5325 Linden St., was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and faces charges of first degree murder, armed robbery, possession of schedule IV drugs and possesion of a controlled, dangerous substance with a firearm.

Police alleged that Johnson shot Profit in the midsection, a wound that led to his death at a local hospital, during a robbery.
