LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (LOCAL 33)(FOX 44) – Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man they say killed another man and left his body on the side of a road.

Brandon Ainsworth is accused of killing Jesse Hebert. Sheriff Jason Ard says the autopsy has confirmed Hebert died from a single gunshot wound.

Hebert’s body was found early Sunday morning on the side of the road in the 18,000 block of Bull Run Road located south of Springfield.

Detectives believe the two were acquaintances. The Sheriff says witnesses say these two have a history of not getting along with one another. Detectives are still trying to determine a motive.

Ainsworth faces several charges including second degree murder.

He is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center on $225,000 bond.
