Arrests made in deadly shooting of 1-year-old in June

DONALDSONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – A 1-year-old was shot and killed almost one month ago on St. Vincent St.

Around 7:30 p.m. on June 12, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office was called to St. Vincent St. for a reported shooting.

“Investigators learned that after an argument between two parties, shots were fired at three victims while they stood in front of the residence,” according to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Along with the 1-year-old, two unidentified adults were also shot and sent to a hospital.

The investigation led deputies to two suspects, Terrance Dupaty, Jr., 24 of Belle Rose and Tyrone Tucker, Jr., 25, of Donaldsonville.

Dupaty, Jr. and Tucker, Jr. are currently in the Ascension Parish Jail.

Both men face the same charges list below:

  • Three counts of attempted second degree murder
  • One count of illegal use of weapons
  • One count of aggravated damage to property
  • One count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Tucker, Jr.’s bond is set at $360,000 and no bond has been set for Dupaty, Jr.
