The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge launched a campaign called the Hearts From Home Campaign, which allows Baton Rouge residents and businesses to express their gratitude to local healthcare workers.
Those who want to participate in the campaign must first create a two-dimensional blue heart or download a template for one, hang the heart in their window facing the street and post a photo of the heart in their window on social media with the hashtag #HeartsFromHomeBR, according to Arts Council Communications Director Rebekah Rainey.
“It is called the Hearts From Home campaign because we wanted to draw attention to the labor of love that healthcare professionals are demonstrating during these times,” Arts Council Constituency Officer Britt Dawson said. “The color of our logo was inspired by scrubs, which are often found in calming shades of blue.”
