UPDATE: APSO detectives have released surveillance video of the alleged truck connected to Sunday night’s battery on Causey Road. Detectives say this at the intersection of Causey Road and Highway 44 shortly after the incident. APSO says they are continuing to search the area for clearer video.

PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man who was involved in a minor car crash was allegedly beaten by the other driver, and now Ascension Parish authorities are on the hunt for the other driver.
According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO), it was Sunday, October 16 when the crash occurred.
APSO says after the crash, one driver stopped at a nearby location, which is where the driver of the other vehicle proceeded to attack him.
The wounded man was later found at a Prairieville home on Causey Road around 8 p.m., and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
As of Monday (October 17), APSO detectives are searching for the man accused of battery.
They’re asking the public to look out for an early 2000 model black truck with undercarriage neon lights possibly blue or purple in color. The driver’s side mirror may also be damaged.

APSO adds that individuals seeking a cash reward must call Capital Region Crime Stoppers.
