Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office to host Black History program

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Bobby Webre will host a Black History program Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Hickley M. Waguespack Center, located at 1201 Maginnis St. in Donaldsonville.

The event will include a Living Characters presentation and dance, choir songs and a speech by keynote speaker and retired APSO employee Alvin J. Stephen, according to APSO.

Light refreshments will be available at the event.
