NAPOLEONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – Local law enforcement officials are making strides in continued efforts to connect with local communities across Louisiana.

This was made evident Wednesday, August 31 when deputies with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office partnered with local Troopers from Louisiana State Police (LSP) to surprise students at Napoleonville Primary School.

The students were all smiles as law enforcement officials treated them to free snowballs, potato chips, and educational coloring books that featured safety tips.

In addition to the snacks and coloring books, the students also had the chance to see the insides of some of the vehicles law enforcement officials use and take a look at the tools they use to carry out daily tasks.

According to a statement from LSP, “Troopers and deputies enjoyed the opportunity to interact and give back to some of the youngest members of our community.”

LSP added that the event was made possible, in part, by Rene’s Industries, Inc, Brooke’s Sno-world- Mobile Unit 3 snowballs, and Zapp’s Potato Chips.
