BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)-AT&T says they are bridging the gap with the digital divide in Baton Rouge to serve more residential and small businesses.

Today, AT&T was joined by area leaders as they announced new availability of AT&T Fiber to residents on and around Osborne Avenue and throughout the area around Howell Community Park in Baton Rouge.

The expanded network will give more residents access to home internet speeds of up to 1 GIG[1]. The areas around Howell Community Park are just a few of the many areas across the city area where AT&T Fiber is available – with more than 80,000 residential and small business locations with access within the Baton Rouge market.

“I am proud to see modern, high-speed connectivity coming to all parts of Baton Rouge, and this connectivity will be vital to residents and businesses alike,” said Lamont Cole, Mayor Pro Tem, City of Baton Rouge. “AT&T has been a consistent presence all across our city, and this work continues to reflect their commitment bringing high-speed connectivity to their neighbors throughout Baton Rouge.”

AT&T’s decades of investment in Louisiana has resulted in a broad fiber-optic network that connects communities across the state, delivering ultra-fast Internet to homes and businesses and providing the backbone for the Fastest Nationwide 5G Network.[2]
