BAKER, La. (BRPROUD) – A pedestrian was hit and killed early Tuesday morning on Plank Road.

The Baker Police Department confirmed that a man was hit by a vehicle in the 1400 block of Plank Road around 1:30 a.m.

Baker PD said the man’s body was “left in the roadway” by a hit-and-run driver.

The man died at the crash scene, and Baker PD began to search for a vehicle they believe was involved.

Baker PD asked the public to keep an eye out for a vehicle with “significant” front-end damage.
