SORRENTO, La. (BRPROUD) – The Boucherie & Balloon Festival will return to Sorrento at the end of October.
The festival will take place from Oct. 20-22 at 9690 Airline Highway and have carnival rides and hot air balloons. Local bands will perform live and attendees can purchase food or shop around. The festival will have cooking competitions for jambalaya and cracklins. The food will also be available for purchase.
Festival organizers said the event serves as a fundraiser to benefit Louisiana Lions Camp and Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation, which provides special-needs children with free recreational activities, optical services and more.
Admission and on-site parking are free. Donations will be accepted at the entrance.
