Barn Hill Preserve hosting ‘Slothtoberfest’ fundraiser for sloth conservation awareness

Ethel, Louisiana (BRPROUD) Barn Hill Preserve is hosting their inaugural Slothtoberfest in an effort to bring awareness to sloth conservation.

The event is happening Friday, October 22 from 6:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m., located at Barn Hill Preserve, 11342 LA-955 in Ethel, Louisiana.

Profits from the adults-only event will benefit sloth conservation at Kids Saving the Rainforest in Costa Rica. Kids Saving the Rainforest was Founded by two 9 year old girls in 1999 for the purpose of educating people around the world about the ecological importance of the rainforest, to set-up programs to preserve and protect the rainforest and its wildlife. General admission tickets are available for $50 with VIP tickets available for $100. Designated driver tickets, which don’t include drink tickets are available for $25. General admission includes: sloth encounters, beer samples and ambassador animal encounters. VIP tickets include entry one hour early, a behind the scenes tour of a new safari park and giraffe habitat, and exclusive photo opportunities.
