Barnes & Nobles’ Citiplace store donated about 2,500 books to the Capital Area CASA association on Dec. 29 as part of its yearly Holiday Book Drive.

Those books were given to East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Court judges and to the Child Advocacy Program, which provides legal representation to children in foster care, according to Capital Area CASA Recruitment Coordinator Erin Fulbright.

“CASA is thrilled to receive this amazing donation from Barnes & Noble and its customers,” Fulbright said. “This means a lot to our organization and the children we serve.”

CASA’s mission is to advocate for the timely placement of children into safe and permanent homes.
