Baton Rouge councilwoman invites public to ‘Love Our City’ Graffiti Removal Day

The public is invited to the “Love Our City” Graffiti Removal Day Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Baton Rouge Councilwoman Tara Wicker will be joined in this effort by Treuil Montague of M&M Industrial and Clear Blast Equipment, according to Wicker’s legislative assistant, Jeff Corbin.

“Our city has been plagued with the horrible onset of visual littler through a sea of graffiti,” Wicker said. “This is our opportunity to step up and finally do something about an unsightly issue that we all have been talking about.”

Donations for the event, including paint, gloves and brushes, can be dropped off at the Dr. Leo S. Butler Center, located at 950 E. Washington St.

Anyone interested in the event can call Corbin at (225) 389-5140 or Wicker at (225) 317-1849.
