“All sorts of things go through my mind, I’m just afraid that, what if they end up getting sick there and who knows what could happen.”
Casey Meyer is talking about her parents who just last week took a trip to China.
“Family from all over the world were coming together to have a little service for my grandmother.”
She said, her parents took the trip not knowing the wide spread effects the Coronavirus is causing.
“You see these things on the news, you know I remember during SARS outbreak like wow, that’s crazy good thing we aren’t over there at the time. Now, it’s like we’re living this, like this is actually happening to my family” said Meyer.
Her dad who is a diabetic, is now running out of medication. She said, the time is now ticking to get him home before any medical emergency occurs.
“It’s frustrating because it feels like a situation where I have no control.”
Dealing with this, what is your biggest fear?
“That medicine running out is probably the big concern.”
Adam Meyer said, there are so many unanswered questions and dealing with this issue has been stressful for his family.
“It’s definitely a trying time to get the information because right now, nobody has any answers, I mean a lot of countries are trying to get out people and it’s an exit ban in place and nobody coming in or out so it’s very concerning” said Meyer.
As the couple continues working to get their loved ones home. They are pleading for help of any kind, to end this horrific nightmare.
“We just want them back in the state and we’ll go from there.”
