The Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Crisis Center, which began as a student-led effort at LSU, will celebrate 50 years of service in March.
BRCIC has made efforts to prevent suicide through its newest program, the National Suicidology Training Center, which works to train local experts to reduce the impact of suicide in their communities, according to BRCIC.
BRCIC will hold an anniversary celebration weekend March 7 and March 8, which will include the annual support walk March 7 at LSU and an open house the evening of March 8 at BRCIC’s Baton Rouge headquarters.
