Baton Rouge dealership collects supplies for victims of Imelda

BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC Local 33) (FOX 44) — A variety of dealerships across Baton Rouge are collecting donations for victims of tropical storm Imelda.

Five people have died after widespread flooding along the Texas Gulf coast from remnants of the storm, according to authorities.

Organizers are requesting any of the following:

  • toiletries,
  • diapers,
  • new underwear and socks,
  • First Aid items,
  • cleaning supplies,
  • canned goods,
  • new bed pillows and blankets,
  • box fans,
  • utility knives and leather work gloves,
  • hand sanitizer,
  • and trash bags.

Items may be dropped off at any of the below locations during normal business hours: Brian Harris BMW, 12336 Airline Hwy; Brian Harris Porsche, 12326 Airline Hwy; Audi Baton Rouge, 11955 Airline Hwy.

LSU Students may drop off donations at the Kappa Sigma House, 530 Lakeland Dr.
