Baton Rouge Fire Department: Arson to blame for vacant house fire on Missouri Street

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A fire broke out at a vacant house in the 1800 block of Missouri Street Sunday evening, and the cause is arson, according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived after 4 p.m. to see heavy smoke coming from the home. They discovered the fire in the front room of the house and contained it before it spread further throughout the home.
