BRFD put out fire at Alamo Plaza Motel

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – Firefighters have yet to determine the cause of a Thursday morning fire at the Alamo Plaza Hotel located at 4243 Florida Blvd.

According to BRFD, firefighters arrived on the scene at 8:41 a.m. to find an empty hotel room on fire.

It took less than five minutes for the Baton Rouge Fire Department to extinguish the fire.

The fire did not spread to any of the other seven rooms in the motel.

BRFD says, “two rooms did receive smoke damage” and the structure sustained $13,200 in damages.

BRPD, EMS and Entergy assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene of the fire.
