Baton Rouge fire investigators looking into second arson in less than 12 hours

Baton Rouge fire investigators are looking into a second arson in less than 12 hours.

This latest fire happened just before 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at a vacant apartment at the Rosenwald Apartments on 1188 Rosenwald Avenue.

Investigators say the fire crew discovered evidence of what was believed to be an intentionally set fire. Investigators were called to the scene. Fire Investigators did determine that someone indeed had attempted to set the apartment on fire. The fire burned out before further damage could be done.

No one was hurt as a result of this fire.

This is the second arson in less than 12 hours. A fire happened at a Shell station car wash on College Dr. around 10:54 p.m. on Independence Day
