Baton Rouge firefighters respond to second fire in one week at Broadmoor United Methodist Church

News

Baton Rouge firefighters responded to an early morning fire at the Broadmoor United Methodist Church, Friday; the second time in three days.

Baton Rouge Fire spokesperson, Mark Miles, says the fire was contained to an office building and that the sanctuary was not impacted.

It took firefighters a little over 90 minutes to extinguish the fire.

Wednesday, firefighters responded to the church for a fire to the church’s scout shed. Investigators later ruled that fire arson.

No word if the two fires are connected.

This is a developing story.
