Three seniors at Baton Rouge Magnet High School are semifinalists for the U.S. Presidential Scholar recognition, which is reserved for seniors with high ACT and SAT scores.

Baton Rouge Magnet students Sunggun Lee, Alison Qi and Cindy Zheng are among the eight Louisiana students who are semifinalists. The school is the only one in the state with multiple semifinalists, according to Baton Rouge Magnet Associate Principal Shaun Feinberg.

A total of 161 students are named U.S. Presidential Scholars annually, Feinberg wrote.
