BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Robert Lowery, 39 of Baton Rouge is behind bars facing one count each of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Attempted Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.

Investigators were tipped off to a man from Baton Rouge who was participating “in child exploitation on a social media app,” according to the Louisiana State Police.

That led to the opening of an undercover investigation on June 21.

After agreeing to meet the young girl for sex, Lowery was apprehended at the location set up by the Louisiana State Police.

The FBI, Homeland Security, and Louisiana Attorney General’s Office assisted the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit on this case.
