BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man was recently arrested after detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department noticed a Honda without its headlights on.
Latreal Bernard Raymond, 42, of Baton Rouge, was found in the vehicle with one other unidentified person on E. Garfield St.
The duo was located around 11:55 p.m. on Friday, September 30, “parked near abandoned homes,” according to the affidavit.
Raymond was a passenger and the unidentified person was the driver of the Honda.
The driver and Raymond both exited the vehicle when asked by detectives.
“As Raymond exited the vehicle, a strain of gold billow was observed in plain view between the passenger seat and footboard,” according to the affidavit.
A subsequent search of Raymond and the vehicle uncovered these items below:
- Large amount of gold in color in billow on Raymond
- Crack on the rear passenger floorboard
A detective was told that the unidentified driver “and Raymond were there to perform sexual favors,” according to the affidavit.
After his arrest, Raymond was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Saturday, October 1.
The 42-year-old remains behind bars on the charges listed below:
- Soliciting For Prostitutes
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Schedule II
Bond has not been set for Latreal Raymond.
