BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)– Baton Rouge Entrepreneur Kyle Perrilloux is teaching a history lesson and starting conversations one t-shirt at a time through his brand STAMPD Legacy.
“It’s black history, that’s really what it is, I’m commemorating black history,” Perrilloux said.
As a teacher Perrilloux has always felt those school lessons on black history have been missing something.
“I wanted to do something different,” Perrilloux said. Something people can enjoy and represent.
“One essential part of each shirt is that they all tell some form of a story.”
Each shirt celebrates the legacy of African American people and places.
Perrilloux hopes his shirts start conversations about the courageous stories of black people in America.
The entrepreneur plans on releasing QR coded shirts that will allow people to use their iphones to connect to a link that will bring up the history of each figure.
In LSU and Southern University colors, Perrilloux said his shirts are adding variety to the game day apparel market.
