Baton Rouge man faces charges after his 95-year-old father dies


Baton Rouge police arrested a local man Friday after the death of his 95-year-old father, whom he is accused of neglecting.

Wayne Warren, 58, of 1260 Mayhaw Drive in Baton Rouge, faces charges of cruelty to the infirmed and manslaughter, according to Sgt. L’Jean Mckneely Jr. of BRPD.

Wayne Warren’s father, William Warren, went to a local hospital after he was found sitting in his home with numerous sores on his body. William Warren died from those injuries on Feb. 7, and the East Baton Rouge coroner attributed his death to neglect, according to Mckneely.
