Baton Rouge man facing multiple charges including Aggravated Arson

22-year-old Ajani London is behind bars on Thursday after the suspect was found at 449 Ben Hur Rd.

London was arrested on Wednesday, October 16 in connection with a fire at 737 La Annie Dr.

The fire occurred almost ten days prior to London’s arrest.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, “London entered an apartment and destroyed all the furniture.”

After doing so, London proceeded to put clothes inside the oven and start it.

BRFD said, “while he was still inside the apartment he FaceTimed the victim and made text threats to her.”

30 people were in the building at the time of the fire.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from escaping the apartment kitchen.

BRFD said, “the mother of London’s child was on the lease to the apartment.”

Crime Stoppers helped Baton Rouge Fire Investigators find the suspect in this case.

Ajani London is facing these charges:

  • Aggravated Arson
  • Terrorizing
  • Unauthorized Entry into an Inhabited Dwelling
  • Criminal Damage to Property
