BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA/WGMB)— Earlier Saturday, several organizations teams up to distribute some personal protective equipment for those who need it most.
The ‘Hand it On’ drive-thru was held at the Baranco-Clark YMCA.

Critical COVID-19 supplies including PPE and other essential goods were handed out.
One of the organizers says this was a way to make an impact in the community.

“This is a collaborative effort of over 21 other organizations and businesses here in the city of Baton Rouge. And it’s just a small way to let people know that they’re not by themselves in what we call a
crisis and critical time right now,” says Founder and Executive Director of the Bridge Agency,
Nichole Scott.

This was the second giveaway event the organization has hosted.
Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome was in attendance along with a dance troope and live band.
