BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Kijana Holmes, 28 is accused of kicking a door down and pointing a gun at a woman’s head before demanding money and assaulting her.

According to documents filed by the Baton Rouge Police Department, officers were called to an apartment in the 800 block of South Flannery Road around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30. They spoke with the woman who this allegedly happened to. She said she was lying in bed when Holmes “forcibly kicked in the front door and entered the apartment without her permission,” according to the affidavit.

She reportedly told police that he then demanded money while pointing a gun at her head. The woman said she was punched multiple times and told not to call the police or “he would kill her,” according to the affidavit.

Two children were home during the attack, according to the woman.

Police said the woman positively identified Holmes and they knew each other. Officers also noted damage to the apartment consistent with her statements.

Holmes was found guilty in 2022 of simple burglary and simple robbery, which keeps him from legally having a gun.
