Baton Rouge to ring in the holiday season with annual Festival of Lights

Baton Rouge will ring in this year’s winter holiday season with the annual Festival of Lights, Friday, December 6.

Downtown Festival of Lights is presented by the Downtown Development District, The City of Baton Rouge, and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

Folks are invited to experience the magic of the holiday with the lighting of the 35-foot Christmas Tree and fireworks at North Boulevard Town Square.

Enjoy free ice skating, play in ten tons of real snow at the Snow Village, see holiday performers, face painters, a balloon artist, stilt walkers, and of course….SANTA! Check the list of events at the Snow Village, Santa’s Gift Shop, Open Houses, and more! 

There are activities for everyone all day Friday, with the tree lighting scheduled for 6:20 p.m.
