Baton Rouge police arrested a local woman Thursday for allegedly beating her four children, who range in age from four to 17, for the past several months.

Jenifer Lea Rodriguez, 46, of 11724 Auburn Drive, was charged with 11 counts of cruelty to juveniles for allegedly using a belt, a taser and a trashcan to abuse her children, according to an affidavit.

An arresting officer wrote that Rodriguez shocked her 17-year-old son with a taser, which Rodriguez allegedly used to intimidate all the children.

The officer found videos on Rodrgiuez’s home security camera of someone, who may be Rodriguez, abusing the children.

The videos allegedly show her stomping and kicking her 9-year-old child, striking him in the face and beating him with a belt buckle.

Videos also show Rodriguez allegedly “severely beating” her 7-year-old with a belt and striking him in the face, the officer wrote in the affidavit.

The officer reportedly watched footage of Rodriguez striking her 4-year-old in the face and beating him with a trashcan.
