This bear was spotted taking a dip in a ditch in Port Allen. That same bear was also spotted several feet away in a corn field.
Donald Schexnayder says he was out riding his four wheeler when he saw the bear eating his corn.
“He looked and he stood up on his hind legs. I was like, ok I didn’t know what to think at that time,” Schexnayder said.
Instead of being afraid he took out his cell phone and started recording. He was confident he was safe.
“He started walking straight towards me. He wasn’t aggressive at all,” he said.
He says it wasn’t the first time he said this nearly seven foot bear often stops by for a snack, trampling through his corn field.
“He’s been eating corn for the last, this was a cornfield when we harvested about a month ago,” he said.
Schexnayder says though the bear is friendly, he has no plans on making this his new pet.
“No way! Not a wild animal, never,” he said.
