BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) — Get ready to enter the Dojo! Code Ninja is hosting a grand opening event this weekend to kick off its coding programs.
Kids of all ages can enter the “Dojo” for a game-based curriculum to learn coding and video game development.
Based on martial arts, there are nine belt levels for students from white to black belt. Once students reach the black belt, they will be able to build an app.
There’s no need to worry about falling behind. The courses are self-paced but not self-taught.
Parents can benefit as well. The center hosts Parents Night Out events where parents can drop off their kids to learn and play.
The grand opening event is tomorrow, starting at 11 am at 8657 Siegen Lane. There will be an hour of code game-building challenge for members of the program and the general public, raffles, presentation of several locally sponsored scholarships to our program, and several politicians and dignitaries to speak about the importance of stem education and what the program brings to the community.
