Benefit concert planned honoring Baton Rouge Blues icon, Henry Gray


A benefit concert is happening Thursday, October 10, honoring Baton Rouge Blues legend Henry Gray. The 94-year-old has entered hospice care, according to his family.

Gray is a world renown blues musician who’s played with musicians like Howlin’ Wolf , Muddy Waters and B.B. King. He’s also been a big community ambassador for Baton Rouge.

Now the community is invited to a benefit concert honoring Gray. Chris King, Kenny Neal, and Mamie Porter are just some of the performances to expect. It’s happening at 8:00 p.m., at Phil Brady’s. Tickets are $10.
