News

BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA/WGMB) — The state board of Elementary and Secondary is rolling out school reopening plans for districts across the state.

State Superintendent Doctor Cade Brumley and the board went over the Centers for Disease Control guidelines Tuesday set for the minimum standards for all school systems.

They discussed frequent hand-washing, the wearing of face coverings and social distancing.

They also went over the different scenarios that are contingent upon the state’s reopening phase.

Under Phase one, group sizes are reduced to ten.

During Phase Two, a classroom setting can have up to 25.

As for Phase Three, the maximum is fifty.

One parent says she is still concerned about sending her child back-to- school.
