Bethany Church handing out groceries to needy families this weekend

Multi-ethnic and mixed-age group of volunteers serve food to needy people at a community “soup kitchen” or food pantry location. A kind, Latin descent worker serves food to a hungry little boy in foreground. The volunteers wear aprons, lanyards, and gloves. Vegetable, fruit, and soup food items are on the table with boxes all around group. Service, kindness, charity, community outreach themes.

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Bethany Church plans to donate food boxes full of canned goods at three of their locations in Louisiana on Saturday, Nov. 20.

The church intends to give away groceries to 1,000 families starting at 10 a.m.

The food boxes will be given away on a first come first serve basis at these locations:

• Baker Campus- 13855 Plank Rd, Baker, LA 70714
• Livingston Parish Campus- 28115 Juban Rd, Denham Springs, LA 70726
• South Baton Rouge Campus- 11107 Honore Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70809

Each of the above locations will have 80 turkeys and 350 food boxes available for those in need.

“Bethany is honored to help provide food for families this holiday season. We love serving others and want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving,” said Bethany’s Communication Director Robert Wood.
