Bicyclist hit and killed on Oak Villa Blvd.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A crash between a bicyclist and a 2000 Buick Century proved deadly on Thursday morning.

48-year-old Clarence Dozier was struck while riding a bike in the 2600 block of Oak Villa Blvd.

The deadly crash took place at approximately 5 a.m.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, “the at-scene investigation revealed that the Buick and bicyclist were both traveling in the same direction on Oak Villa Boulevard, when the Buick struck the bicycle.”

Douzier was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

BRPD says, “the driver of the Buick did not suffer any injuries at the time of the crash.”

The investigation into this deadly crash remains open.
