“Now I have to go find another, I don’t know we’re going to have to look up in our app.”

A lot of customers, but no service.

We’ll I have to find another one now.”

Tuesday evening, people like Leslie Myers were surprised when they drove up to a Starbucks near Tanger mall.

“Right now I need caffeine really bad and that’s why we are looking for a Starbucks” said Myers.

The Starbucks, like many others businesses in Gonzales were closed or not selling items that use water, because of a boil advisory.

“I wasn’t aware of what was going on, I was caught off guard” said Dean Elwood.

In a statement the city said, there is a mandatory 24-hour sample holding period before an advisory can be lifted.

“Although many places closed for the day, people say they are happy restaurants are taking safety precautions.”

Myers said, “I wouldn’t want to drink something and its harmful so I’m glad that they’re doing this.”

Traveling through Louisiana back to California, Myers said, despite not having her caffeine, she understands safety comes first.

“That’s awesome if it’s to help out.”
