BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) Baton Rouge Constable Terrica Williams will be hosting her third annual school supply drive and free COVID-19 vaccination event.
Originally the supply drive was supposed to take place in August but had to pushed back due to the pandemic.
Williams explained the importance of providing supplies in the second half of the school year when it’s typically popular during the summer.
“Most of the time the supplies they have from August to December is usually used up or worn out. They just need new supplies by this time for school.”
The drive-thru event will happen Sunday, January 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Local 99 Labor Union Hall, 1233 Government Street. Masks will be required.
