BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Blake M Conti, 29, of Baton Rouge, was arrested after a recent traffic stop by an officer with the Central Police Department.
The recent traffic stop took place on Sullivan Rd.
Conti was driving an Infiniti and the officer noticed the 29-year-old “stopped in the left turn lane of Greenwell Springs Rd., at a red light.”
The affidavit states that instead of turning, Conti proceeded to run the red light and head towards Sullivan Rd.
The officer clocked Conti going 26 miles per hour over the speed limit.
A traffic stop was initiated and the officer “noted that Conti had an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, swayed while standing, and had slurred speech,” according to the affidavit.

A deputy with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was called in to assist with the on scene investigation.
The officer and deputy both saw Conti have trouble passing various tests at the scene.
The 29-year-old was subsequently arrested and “admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana prior to operating his vehicle,” according to the affidavit.
