BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – There is a popular game that can improve a player’s coordination, agility, balance, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
According to the United States Tennis Association, playing tennis for only three hours a week can reduce a person’s risk of cardiovascular disease by 56%. Studies also show that tennis players add 9.7 years to their life over people who have less active lifestyles.
Clearly, adding tennis to one’s exercise regimen can provide a wide range of physical and mental benefits.
But where can Baton Rouge’s tennis players enjoy the sport?
This July and August, BREC is hosting Beginner & Intermediate Adult Tennis Leagues at the Highland Road Tennis Center.
