The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) will celebrate Black History Month on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Independence Park Theatre 7800 Independence Blvd.
The event, held in partnership with Councilwoman Erika L. Haynes Elementary School, a tribute skit by Forest Heights Academy of Excellence, musical performances by both David Sylvester, Jr. and Drum Connection, Greater Beach Grove Baptist Church Hands of Faith Puppeteers and more.
