BATON ROUGE, La. (BRROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department was called to a house fire early on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters arrived five minutes after the call came in at 4337 Levera St. “to find a vacant home with smoke and fire showing,” according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
The fire was put out in a little over 45 minutes with the help of seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder.
BRFD says, “the fire was contained before it could spread to neighboring homes.”
Fire investigators concluded that arson was the cause of the fire.
The vacant home is considered a total loss after sustaining $40,000 in damages.
BRPD and EMS assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
