BRFD Investigators arrest trio for catalytic converter thefts and vehicle fires

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Three men are behind bars in connection with the theft of catalytic converters and vehicle fires during the summer.

The first two men were arrested on Sept. 26.

18-year-old Mi’Keyce Williams and 20-year-old Rajanee Williams are both facing these charges:

  • Simple Arson
  • Criminal Trespassing

On Tuesday, Baton Rouge Fire Department Investigators apprehended 39-year-old Matthew Etheridge.

The 39-year-old man is the third person charged in this case.

Etheridge is charged with “Simple Arson, Criminal Damage to Property, and Criminal Trespassing for his role in the theft of catalytic converters and subsequent burning of two vehicles according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
